In the framework of the Innovation-Oriented Research Programmes of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Dr Niels van Dijk (R3/FAME) has been awarded a €400,000 grant for a cooperative project with Tata Steel, FNsteel and SKF in which self-healing steel will be developed with the aid of DFT calculations.
