The 2011 European Quantum Information Young Investigator Award has been awarded to Dr. Ronald Hanson (QN) and Dr. Stefano Pironio, by decision of the QUIE2T Advisory Board of Experts and upon approval by the QUIE2T Coordination Steering committee.
Hanson will get the actual prize for his experimental work on the coherent control and measurements of single spins in solids, and his proven leadership and independence through the successful establishment of his own research group. He will get the Award at the big QIPC conference in Zurich in September.
