PhD position in Delft, Thijssen lab: part of the "Chirality-induced spin selectivity and electron transport" project

There is a PhD position available for a talented theorist in the NWO program "Chirality-induced spin selectivity and electron transport". The program is a collaboration between scientists from Leiden and Delft, aiming to unravel the spectacular phenomenon of chiral-induced spin selectivity.

The candidate will use analytical and computational tools available in the Thijssen group for studying the phenomenon of spin selectivity, induced by chiral molecules, a phenomenon which has received a lot of attention in the quantum nanoscience community.

The successful candidate has a master's degree or equivalent in physics, with a strong theoretical component.

He/she is interested in collaboration with experiments and is comfortable in analytical and computational work.
