Bas van Opheusden wins Janneke Fruin-Helb Scholarship for Retina research at Princeton University

Bas van Opheusden, theoretical physics student, is the winner of the Janneke Fruin-Helb Scholarship 2012. Every year, several research proposals are submitted to the International Flux Study (LISF). Opheusden could not be present at the award ceremony. His sister Mieke van Opheusden accepted the prize on his behalf at a reception held on Wednesday 7 November 2012. The scholarship prize of 2,250 euros was presented by Carel Smith, chairman of the LISF-committee of the Leiden University Fund (LUF) and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Leiden.
