The Ministry of Education has announced that the Dutch participation (for LION Maarten de Jong) in KM3Net will receive 8.8 M€ for the construction of a neutrino detector for astroparticle research. The medium for the detector will be a square-kilometer of seawater, deep in the Mediterean Sea.
