In the latest round, LION physicists Koenraad Schalm and Tjerk
Oosterkamp have each been awarded a prestigious NWO VICI grant (M€ 1.5). Koenraad's proposal is about "Applied string theory: explaining quantum matter with black holes", while Tjerk will investigate "Extreme Microscopy: towards atomic-scale imaging of biological structures". We congratulate our colleagues with this fantastic success.
