Abstract

I shall give an overview of the geometric interpretation of non-dissipative transport coefficients: The essentially classical geometry of  the space of controls and the quantum geometry of adiabatic transport.  The relation between adiabatic transport, Berry's curvature, and Chern numbers shall be explained with the help of two examples.  I shall try and make the talk elementary.
