The Casimir Research School yearly awards the best MSc students with the Hendrik Casimir prize. The prize consists of a certificate and a sum of € 750,-.

This year, the Hendrik Casimir prize will be awarded to Katy Wei (Delft) and Tom van der Reep (Leiden). In their report, the jury praises Katy’s determination and focus. While obtaining high marks, she also found the time during her first Master’s year to take responsibility for non-academic tasks: Katy is a mentor for students coming from outside Delft University. Tom is applauded for the high-quality work that he delivers. The jury considers Katy and Tom both to be very promising young scientists.

Katy and Tom will receive their prize on Thursday the 9th of January 2014.
