On Tuesday 27 March, TU Delft will launch the Delft Bioengineering Institute. Main speaker is Clive Brown, Chief Technology Officer at DNA sequencing specialist Oxford Nanopore Technologies. Martin Depken and colleagues will be organizing BioDate 2018, a networking event for bio-enthusiastic professors (all ranks) that already attracted over fifty participants.
In the afternoon, three duo’s of principal investigators will pitch their interdisciplinary projects. The Bioengineering Expo in the Foyer will showcase highlights within the three themes of the institute: Biomass based products, Environmental bioengineering and Bioengineering for health. Representatives of government and industry will be present, and there will be plenty of networking opportunities.
