Quantitative BioImaging Conference 2016 in Delft - keynote by William Moerner

This will be the fourth conference in this series focusing on the quantitative analysis of bioimaging data in an interdisciplinary manner. It will bring together researchers from engineering, biophysics, biology, and chemistry who work on quantitative aspects of microscopy. While the previous conferences had an emphasis on single molecule microscopy, the organisers of this meeting very much welcome contributions from other areas of microscopy.

Sjoerd Stallinga and Bernd Rieger, members of the organising committee, are planning extensive overview lectures in a number of important areas and they hope to be dealing with these topics in a more substantial way than what can be done typically. A major goal of the organization of the conference is to allow for significant interactions among the participants. They do not ask for a registration fee, so that the barriers to participate for PhD students and postdocs will be low.  

The committee has invited a number of appealing scientists: the keynote speaker is W.E. Moerner, the Nobel Prize laureate for Chemistry in 2014.
