This year (2023), the biannual Casimir Spring School will be organized in August (thus basically making this edition a summer school). The final program will be communicated soon.
Casimir Summer School
The Casimir Summer School is a three-day event for Casimir PhDs and Postdocs, and a few master students are welcome too. The program will include keynote speakers, several presentation sessions, workshops and poster sessions. In addition, we will explore the Frisian waters by sailing boat (if the weather allows). Besides the interesting talks and workshops, it is a great opportunity to present your research to your peers, and there is plenty of time to get to know your fellow Casimir's.
Registration [deadline: July 28th]
Registration for the Casimir Summer School is open: please fill in the form below. There is no participation fee for Casimir PhDs and Postdocs, nor for Master students that are doing a research project at a Casimir Research group (in Leiden: at LION; or in Delft: at the Bionanoscience department, Quantum Nanoscience department, or at Kavli-associated QuTech groups).
The registration deadline is Friday July 28th, 2023. However, note that there is a limited number of spots, so registration might be closed earlier. Participants will be selected on a first-come-first-served base. However, PhDs and postdocs will be given priority over MSc students.
You will share a room with other participants. In the registration form, you can list your preferred roommates, or preferences for roommates. Although we will do our best, please note that your preferences cannot be guaranteed.
Abstract submission [deadline (posters): August 1st]
After registration, you will receive a link to submit your abstract. Please note that you do not have to present already published work. Selections will be based on topic.
You can submit an abstract for a poster presentation. Abstract submission for oral presentations has been closed. The submission deadline for poster presentations is Tuesday August 1st 2023. Poster boards will be A0-sized.
Global program
You can find the outlines of the global program for the Casimir Summer School 2023 in the file below. Details on speakers and workshops will be shared with participants shortly.
Transport to and from Grou will be arranged by Casimir: busses will leave from Delft/Leiden on Tuesday morning, and will bring you back on Thursday late afternoon. If you prefer to travel by own transportation, you can indicate so via the registration form.
