About prof. dr. Marco Beijersbergen: Marco Beijersbergen is founder and managing director of cosine. After his PhD in laser physics and optics at Leiden University in 1996, Marco recognised that there is a need for a company that offers commercial services in physics. Marco has strong interest in the physical principles behind the development of scientific and industrial instruments. He not only applies that to the benefit of his company's customers, but he also shares his views and thoughts with physics and astronomy students at Leiden University.
