For the first two meetings of the JC, we will hear about strong gravitational lensing and dark matter.
From now on, there will be bi-weekly meetings every other week.
This Wednesday, March 24th, Prof. Alexey Boyarsky will give us a general introduction to the topic; on Wednesday April 7th, Dr. James Nightingale from Durham University will tell us about his work on studying dark matter with galaxy-scale strong lensing, and provide us with an overview of the most recent developments in the field.
Both meetings will last approximately 45 minutes, with plenty of time for questions and discussion afterwards. Do not miss this cool opportunity!
