Durham BSI ECR warmly invites you to join us for our first ECR Symposium on the 31st July 13:00-17:00 (BST). This event will be held online and is free to attend for all.

The half-day event will feature short talks (15 minutes) and flash-talks (2 minutes) from a range of ECRs, a keynote speech and a virtual poster session, with time for open discussion (and tea!).  We invite both domestic and international ECRs to attend/present their research.

We are excited to welcome Silvia Marchesan as our keynote speaker and 2020 Howard prize winner. She will be giving a talk on Heterochiral Peptide Assembly: Entry in Wonderland through the Looking-Glass'.

The full abstract can be viewed on our website: https://www.dur.ac.uk/bsi/events/howardlecture/

We are aiming to bring together ECRs from diverse scientific backgrounds who share a common interest in developing an understanding of biological systems, through research crossing the boundaries of the physical and life sciences.

Anyone interested in exploring interdisciplinary means for developing the understanding of biological systems is welcome to join in for lively discussion and questions.
