Jos Thijssen appointed full professor

The TU Delft Executive Board has appointed Jos Thijssen as Professor in Theory of Molecular Electronics and Innovating Physics Education. Since his arrival in Delft in 1999, Jos has mainly been involved in education. In 2017-2018 he was elected Teacher of the Year of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. His research focuses on the theory and simulation of the transport of electrons through single molecules. Jos Thijssen is one of the first people who owe their appointment as professor to a new HR policy that gives education more weight.
