Studying Rotational Diffusion of Single Protein Molecules

Project description:

The aim of this project is to reveal the rotational and translational diffusion of asymmetric single particles and proteins by a label-free opto-plasmonic method. You will use a confocal microscope with advanced scattering techniques to detect the translational and rotational diffusion of single molecules around an immobilized gold nanorod. These measurements will provide insight into the dynamic of these single‑molecule systems.
