PhD candidates are invited to nominate their academic supervisor for the ‘Best Supervisor of the Year Award 2015‘. The PhD Candidate Network of The Netherlands (PNN) created this award in 2014 in order to recognize exemplary faculty members in The Netherlands who have demonstrated excellence in PhD candidate supervision.

An outstanding PhD supervisor is a mentor, an advisor, a role model and a strategist. The jury will judge the nominations based on criteria such as effective guidance and planning, fostering and facilitating candidates’ skills, and timely reading and provision of feedback. Nominators can read more and fill out the form here until the beginning of October.

The ‘Best Supervisor of the Year Award 2015’ will be awarded during the National PhD Day on November 10th of this year. This day is organized by the PhD Candidate Network of The Netherlands (PNN) with the collaboration of sponsors such as VSNU, NWO, and Promood/TU Delft.
