On 2 April 2015, postdoc Hannes Bernien (QN/QT) received a NWO Rubicon grant. With this fellowship, NWO offers young scientists the opportunity to get experience abroad, as a stepping stone to an international scientific career.  Hannes Bernien is one of the eighteen winners of this year's NWO Rubicon fellowships. In his research, he focuses on quantum network nodes. In a quantum network, it is possible to send unhackable information. During the coming two years, Hannes will proceed his research at Harvard University. There he will develop a fundamental part of a quantum network: the node.
