We look back on a successful second edition of the Casimir Open Days. On Thursday May 31st and Friday June 1st a group of 15 talented international MSc students visited our research school.

They started their visit at the BN department at TU Delft, where scientific director Christophe Danelon welcomed the students with an introduction about the Casimir Research School. Then, the students were welcomed by PhD students from various groups who brought a poster about their research at BN. Also on the program was a short tour along the BN labs.  

In the afternoon, the group visited the QN department and the QuTech labs. After several talks, interviews, and lab tours, the group went on a boat trip to discover the Delft canals, followed by a nice dinner in the city center. 

On Friday, the students were welcomed in Leiden, where they learned a lot about the physics research at LION. Also here, PIs were offered to talk with the students during short individual interviews.

The students enjoyed their stay in Leiden and Delft. They would like to thank all our PIs, postdocs, and PhD students for their time and interesting conversations, and they hope to be back as PhD students soon!
