Movember is a moustache-growing charity event, held during the month of November each year, that raises funds and awareness for men’s health (prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide). A couple of people at the Bionanoscience department decided to start a Movember team to participate in this movement.
A team can consist of both Mo Bros (men) and Mo Sistas (women). The Mo Bros can grow moustache as a fun way of spreading awareness by getting people curious about the movement. Mo Sistas, along with Mo Bros, can host fundraising events and/or pledge to run, or walk, a distance of 60KM over the month of November. Besides the obvious benefits of this movement for men’s health, and the whole society in general, we also like the fun and social aspect of it.
