FYSICA is the annual physics conference of the Netherlands' Physical Society (NNV). Each year the NNV organises FYSICA in cooperation with a Dutch university. So every year FYSICA takes place in another city, according to a roster.

TU Delft will host FYSICA 2023, so come to Delft on Friday 26 May 2023. Registration for FYSICA 2023 is open, we invite all physicists (including students) to attend this meeting.

Young Speaker Contest
Every year the Young Speakers Contest is a roaring success at FYSICA. The 2022 edition was an excellent event, outstanding speakers about interesting physics. We are looking forward to the 2023 edition. The Young Speakers Contest is a contest for the best (oral) presentation of a young speaker. For this contest, a ‘young speaker’ is defined as a PhD student or a postdoc within 5 years of obtaining his/her PhD. The presentation should discuss the own scientific work of the speaker, and will be in English.

The presentations last 10 minutes. Presentations take place for the full audience, and the audience will determine the winner by vote. A wide audience is listening to the talks: researchers in academia and industry, teachers and students, with various backgrounds. The prize is a cash award (750 euros), a certificate, and eternal fame.
