It is time for the annual LION Image Award!

We invite all LION master students, PhD candidates, and Postdocs to submit their most appealing research image to this year’s contest. Pick any concept: microscopy image, theory visualisation, simulation rendering, or just get creative. The winner will receive a prize of 100 euro and their image will be highlighted on the picture wall and in a news article on the Leiden University website.

To take part, send your image along with a layman's description (<150 words) and a catchy title to Michelle Willebrands (willebrands@physics.leidenuniv.nl). The deadline is on Monday December 19 at 12:00 sharp. The jury will include a member of the LION secretary, as well as the editor in chief of the Faculty Communication and Marketing team.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday January 19 at 16:00 in the Sitterzaal.
