Nanobiology Symposium: “The Enigma: Cracking the code of life”

You are invited to the S.V. Hooke Nanobiology Symposium on the 11th of May at the Aula of the TU Delft. Several researchers from different universities will be giving talks about their research and its importance in society. The overlapping theme will be “The Enigma: Cracking the code of life”.

To complement the talks, an ethical discussion will be held on the same general theme of DNA; Who is responsible for ethically difficult research? Are scientist to blame? Or is it society’s fault? These are the kind of questions that will be discussed during the event.

Three speakers will talk at the symposium:

  • Myron Best (VUmc) will elaborate on tumor detection.
  • Marvin Tanenbaum (Hubrecht Institute) will talk about gene expression with single molecule approach.
  • Fabai Wu (TU Delft) will elaborate on the principle behind genome architecture and protein patterns.
