Folding genome by loop extrusion - talk at BN by Leonid Mirny (MIT)

11:00 hrs

Room A1.100

You may have heard that the field of cell biology is seeing some nice developments in the fact that it is increasingly becoming clear that loop-extruding SMC proteins are the central organizers of our genome.

Tomorrow at 11 am, prof. Leonid Mirny from MIT will present a talk 'Folding genome by loop extrusion’ that explains these exciting developments. Leonid is one of the key persons that drove much of this discovery, see e.g.
