NWO Insight Out – Connecting Women in STEM

Online (Nov2&9); and Utrecht (Nov16): van der Valk Utrecht

Insight Out is thé career and networking event for women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines. During this event, women can meet each other, listen to inspiring talks and participate in interesting workshops. This year's focus is particularly on connecting women in a male-dominated environment.

This event focuses specifically on early and mid-career female academics, i.e. PhD, postdoc, tenure (or career) track academics, UD and UHD, because this target group benefits from developing essential skills and building a safety net in the form of a women's network. This biennial event provides an opportunity for them to meet other women, learn and inspire each other across organizational boundaries and career stages. By offering a variety of plenary presentations and workshops, the event will provide a perspective for women aspiring careers in the STEM fields.

The programme is divided into three days. The live event on 16 November will feature inspiring talks and activating workshops, and is the perfect opportunity to network with each other. During the online events on 2 and 9 November, which will act as a run-up to the live event, the topics Academic Mental Health and Mothers in STEM will be covered more in depth in a more intimate setting.

The full programme will be announced soon.
