Lorentz workshop: Amyloid Aggregation: Single Molecule Approaches to a Many Molecule Problem

Lorentz Center, Oort Building, Leiden

In this workshop we will discuss amyloid aggregation, with special attention to the aggregation mechanism, involvement of membranes, the roles of metal ions and the cellular and physiological aspects of amyloid related disease. Focus will be on (further) developing experimental approaches and theory to understand amyloid aggregation at all scales.

Scientific organizers:

  • Peter Heutink (Tübingen, Germany)
  • Martina Huber (Leiden, The Netherlands)
  • Gunnar Jeschke (Zurich, Switzerland)
  • Vinod Subramaniam (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
