NWO grants for the observation of young galaxies


The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) has awarded two grants for research facilities at TU Delft. Akira Endo of the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, in collaboration with Paul van der Werf of Leiden Observatory, received €755,000 for the development of a chip that can be used to observe young galaxies. Koen van Dongen and Martin Verweij of the Laboratory of Acoustical Imaging received €705,000 for the development and testing of sensors for the next generation medical ultrasound scanners.
