PD position in Delft, Brouns lab: Post-doctoral researcher Bacteriophage and CRISPR bioinformatics

We are seeking an ambitious Postdoctoral researcher with a talent for Bioinformatics to become part of a young research team investigating CRISPR biology and the interaction with bacteriophages. This position requires a profound knowledge and hands-on experience with next generation sequencing data generation and data analysis. The candidate is experienced in scripting and sequence data analysis using Python and R, or similar. A successful candidate has a track record of writing scientific publications. The candidate can manage students and technicians. Previous wetlab experience in molecular microbiology, CRISPR or bacteriophages is an advantage. This project is a collaboration with Dr B. Dutilh, Bioinformatics, University of Utrecht, Netherlands. 

Qualifications and competencies
PhD in bioinformatics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, biotechnology or related field. The candidate is capable of generating, handling and analyzing NGS sequencing data.

We offer you a temporary position for a period of 4 years at the Department of Bionanoscience (Delft University of Technology, Delft, Netherlands) with a critical evaluation after 2 years.
