POSTDOC

Postdoc vacancy at QN on TEM techniques to investigate the atomic structure and electrical properties of nanostructured materials built upon layered materials

The Sonia Conesa Boj lab is seeking a highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques to investigate the atomic structure and electrical properties of nanostructured materials built upon layered materials.

The successful candidate will undertake research in advanced TEM-based techniques, such as atomic resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy HR(S)TEM and electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS). She/he will operate a new state-of-the-art JEOL microscope equipped with a monochromator and Cs-corrector.

Requirements: The candidates should hold a PhD degree in physics, materials science, or related topics. Familiarity with TEM techniques such as HR(S)TEM and EELS is required.

Applications: Please submit your motivation letter, CV as one single PDF file and send it to s.conesaboj@tudelft.nl. Please also arrange for two reference letters to be sent to the same address.

This postdoctoral research position is supported by the European Research Council through the TESLA Starting Grant project. The employment contract of the successful candidate will be on a first instance of two years, with the possibility of an extension subject to available funding.
