NanoFront PI´s dr. Hyun Youk and dr. Greg Bokinsky both have received a large research grant.

Hyun Youk received an ERC starting grant: 1.5 million euros for a new five year research programme. Hyun will use his grant to build information-processing multicellular living structures from bottom up by using baker’s yeasts as building blocks.

Greg Bokinsky has received an NWO Open Programme grant for his research proposal 'Understanding how bacteria cells measure their own growth rate'. The Open Programme's aim is to promote innovative scientific research of a high quality across the entire breadth of the earth and life sciences. The grant covers personnel costs (PhD or postdoc) and costs for equipment and consumables.
