Time:

Location:

O|2 Lab (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam)

On Tuesday the 9th of August AIMMS (Amsterdam Institute of Molecular and Life Sciences) is hosting an exciting summer workshop on “The art of scientific discovery”.

Where do ideas come from?
What we call the “scientific method” tells you what to do once you have a hypothesis – that’s day science. But where do ideas and hypotheses come from in the first place? Professors Itai Yanai and Martin Lercher have been exploring this mystery in editorials and a podcast.

In this 1-day workshop, you’ll learn and practice different tools for the generation of scientific ideas. It is aimed at early career researchers: PhDs, postdocs, and tenure trackers, but fun and inspirational for experienced PIs as well. It is open for all scientists in all disciplines (up to 100 participants), free of charge, on a first come first serve basis, with priority to AIMMS researchers.

Coffee, lunch and a first drink will be provided for. Register before the 2nd of August!

Registration and program can be found here.
