NWO-Veni grant for Tim Taminiau

The natural laws of quantum mechanics make it possible to process information in a new and more powerful way, but unfortunately this makes it extremely sensitive to errors in calculation. Tim Taminiau (Kavli, QN/QT), received a NWO-Veni grant, which enables him to try to demonstrate in the coming three years that even quantum errors can be traced and rectified.

Tim Taminiau completed his PhD-studies at ICFO (Spain) and joined QT (Ronald Hanson group) in March 2011. In that year, he received a Marie Curie Intra European Fellowship (IEF) to work on a project called 'Quantum Teleportation of Remote Solid-state Spins.'
