PROGRAM

Casimir Summer School - registration open

Date:

Time:

Three full days

Location:

Grou (Friesland)

This year, the biannual Casimir Spring School will be organized in August (thus basically making this edition a summer school). The final program will be communicated soon.

Casimir Summer School
The Casimir Summer School is a three-day event for Casimir PhDs and Postdocs. The program will include keynote speakers, several presentation sessions, workshops and poster sessions. In addition, we will explore the Frisian waters by sailing boat (if the weather allows). Besides the interesting talks and workshops, it is a great opportunity to present your research to your peers, and there is plenty of time to get to know your fellow Casimir's.

Registration [deadline: July 28th]
Registration for the Casimir Summer School is open: please fill in the form below. There is no participation fee for Casimir PhDs and Postdocs.

The registration deadline is Friday July 28th, 2023. However, note that there is a limited number of spots, so registration might be closed earlier. Participants will be selected on a first-come-first-served base.

You will share a room with other participants. In the registration form, you can list your preferred roommates, or preferences for roommates. Although we will do our best, please note that your preferences cannot be guaranteed.

Abstract submission [deadline: June 19th]
After registration, you will receive a link to submit your abstract. Please note that you do not have to present already published work. Selections will be based on topic.

You can submit an abstract for either an oral or poster presentation. Oral presentations will be limited to 15min in length (+5min for questions). Poster boards will be A0-sized.

The submission deadline is Monday June 19th 2023. You will be notified of the outcome by July 3rd. If your abstract was not selected for a talk, you will be offered a poster presentation instead.

Credits
All participants of the Casimir Summer School 2023 will receive a certificate of attandance, which can be used to receive 1 credit (graduate school credit, GSC). When participants also present their work (either via a talk or a poster), they can receive a total of 1.5 credits.

Contact
For any questions, please send an e-mail to Casimir coordinator Celine Alkemade.
